Chernobyl – Haunting and Chilling Views, Some 30 years later
Nearly 30 years have passed since the 1986 nuclear disaster in Chernobyl, Ukraine. It also presents a stark reminder of how quickly all of that can be taken away. As photographer Danny Cooke said, “there was something serene, yet highly disturbing about this place. Time has stood still and there are memories of past happenings floating around us”.
