Fantastic Beasts Will Suck with Johnny Depp
Harry Potter fans around the world were informed over the last few days that we will see Johnny Depp in the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them after he makes an appearance in the first film.
I don’t know what to think really about Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts honestly.
Many of you may be exuberant with feelings of fancy and delight but I for one, do not think ol’ Johnny is the best for the job. Not to say he hasn’t been a great actor in other films, but Fantastic Beasts and, of course, anything JK Rowling related, is a series that does well without the addition of someone who is going to either over act or under act the shit out of the film.
Hell, if the series would have just starred him rather than Eddie Redmayne, then it wouldn’t have gone anywhere. So the wizarding world of harry potter is about to get nice dump taken on it either way.
I know what you’re thinking… “This guy just hates Johnny Depp for some reason.”
Not really, well maybe a little, okay I just don’t like him. I mean, the whole thought of having him as an addition to, nay a fucking main character and co – star in anything related to Harry Potter just ruins the whole affect of the series for me.
Yes, it focuses around central characters like Ron Weasley, harry, Hermione and others but that’s the way it was written. Harry is the main the character and everyone is subsequently added into his story line. Otherwise they would have just called it Harry Potter and a whole bunch of other people most of the time too.
To even gesture and think that the sequel to fantastic beast needs Johnny Depp is simply moronic. But you smart movie watchers out there need facts and I get that, so let’s look at some of Johnny Depp’s greatest hits.
– Transcendence sucked.
– Mortdecai looked awful upon the release of its trailer and proved to be.
– Dark Shadows was a horror pile of wretched hyena filth.
– The Tourist was terrible, but that could have been due to Anglina Jolie who hasn’t been good in anything since Hackers
– Even Pirates of the Caribbean could have benefited from Depp not being at the helm of that shit ship appropriately named the black sphincter.
Lucky for you I even skipped some other gems, like Lone Ranger and Into the Woods. You’re welcome!
Depp has been a pretty good actor in some stuff but those are still limited to a few titles like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, which he was still out shown by a guy playing a mentally disabled boy.
Films as of late see a Johnny Depp who shed the Public Enemies and Cry Baby abilities for overacting intense over dramatization, or in other words, trying way too damn hard.
Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel is simply unnecessary at best.
What is this film I speak of?? Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a JK Rowling adaptation to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter taking place in the 1920’s background of New York City. Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, is a scientist/ magician guy who chronicles none other than Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Probably couldn’t have guessed that one, huh?
Anyway, Newt is just chilling doing sciency stuff when a no- maj, or stupid american way of saying Muggle named Jacob Kowalski comes into play and some of the fantastic beats escape. Pretty cool story line I would say right?
Now let’s see that same story line if Johnny Depp were in it.
Johnny Depp, plays Nandle Piggletuff, a magician/ science guy who stops in 1920’s New York, running into Jacob Kowalsi, also played by Johnny Depp, to which some wizardly shit happens.
I know I know… a little exaggerated, but you get my point. Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts sequel would undoubtedly turn into a focal point on the actor.
Anyway, enough of my badgering about a sequel to a movie that hasn’t even come out yet. Let me know in comments what you think, or don’t, I don’t care. Later Junkies.
